Raw Materials (Bill-Of-Materials) are converted to a Finished Good through a series of Workstation Processess (Bill-Of-Resources).

Some Finished Goods incdlude:

  • Robots,
  • Robot sensor kits,
  • User manuals and similar documentation (physical or digital),
  • A software application, with an indefinite and transferable licence.

Piece parts to these Finished Goods can also be considered, if you intend to sell them to customers. Spare parts can be considered Finished Goods.

The distinction of a Finished Good helps teams including Sales, Inventory, and Auditing; as this is a point where an item has tangable value. As an analogy; a bag of concrete has value, and a finished sidewalk has value, but the Work In Progress states have no value, or negative value if producing something other than the intended Finished Good.
